Roisin has contributed to many collaborative projects including a collaboration with French musician Benoit Guerbigny in La Roche sur Yon when she and Paul Harrigan worked with jazz musicians.
She has been involved in an ongoing collaboration in Scotland with Feis Spe in the Cairngorms. In 2015 this involved working with Charlie McKerron, Brian O hEadhra and Griogar Labhruidh. In this project young musicians from Donegal and Scotland explored their shared musical heritage and created an original composition.
Colmcille Song Project
The Melting Pod Project which premiered at the Earagail Arts Festival in 2014 is a collaboration where she and her brother Paul Harrigan composed and performed with NYC natives Ralph Rolle and Selan Lerner(Chic). The project explores how musicians coming from two distinct musical backgrounds can work together and develop their compositions and arrangements while preserving their own unique musical heritage. In the initial performance melodies from the ancient music of Ireland were fused with urban rhythms to create new and exciting music.
